What the evidence tells us
The SDG7 custodian agencies report that the remaining electricity-access gap is heavily concentrated in sub-Saharan Africa. Their report also identifies a major clean-cooking deficit. These access measures establish the scale of the problem, while facility-level records are needed to understand interruptions and usable power.

Axum’s proposed work focuses on dependable electricity for productive activity. Invention discovery should begin with measured operating failures and the cost of maintaining equipment. A product must improve delivered service under local conditions before it can justify commercial rollout.
These are proposed research directions. Patentability and commercial viability remain to be established for each invention.
